Admission & Enrollment Procedure

ADMISSIONS INFORMATION

The aim of Mukabbir School is to impart quality education with an endeavor to assure that Islamic values are fully integrated with the student’s life and academic program.

Admission policy of the school is non-discriminatory, and the school offers admissions to all children of any race, color, gender, national and ethnic origin.

The children who are admitted to the school are given equal access to all rights, privileges, programs, sporting and other activities (co-curricular and extra-curricular) generally accorded or made available to students at the school.

Admission will be strictly based on the (i) merit, (ii) available number of seats in a particular class, (iii) admission aptitude test result and (iv) the ability of parents/guardian to pay school fees with or without financial assistance.

Applications received timely (by closing date) will be given preference over late applications, and the school will consider late applications only if places are still available in the school.

The school administration reserves the right to accept or reject the applicant for admission or to re-enroll a student, and the decision of the administrator to accept or reject the student’s application for admission or re-enroll is final.

All students in the school are expected to be supportive of the ethos of the school and be ready to participate enthusiastically in activities like academics, sports, societies and religious programs during the school life.

Admission Procedure

  1. Registration will be held from January to March (Spring Intake) and August to September (Fall Intake) each year. All parents/guardians wishing to enroll their children must fill out an application (Registration Form), which will be followed by an admission aptitude test and interview (if needed).The assessment of the applicant is conducted for establishing his/her suitability for the grade applied for admission and academic talent necessary for the child to access the school’s program within the levels of support that are available. If the applicant fails to obtain required score (required for the grade he/she intended to seek admission) in the test, then he/she shall not be eligible for admission in any other grade as well. (Guidelines for the admission aptitude tests for different levels/grades are outlined in annexure-A.)
  2. The candidates who are declared successful will be issued admission forms.
  3. The successful candidate must return duly filled admission form to the Admission Cell of the school with following documents:
  • CNIC copy of Parent/Guardian.
  • Certified copy of Birth Certificate/B form.
  • Two 1 X 1 sized recent Photographs of the Applicant.
  • School Leaving Certificate Original (only for migration admission).
Note: For migration admission, a record of the child’s Code of Conduct from the previous school may be requested if deemed necessary.
  • Once the admission is approved by the Principal, necessary Fee Challan is issued, and admission will be confirmed on deposit of fee as given below: (details can be seen in Mukabbir School fees policy document)
  • The parent(s)/Guardian(s) of candidates whose admissions are confirmed will also be asked to sign the Undertaking/Code of Conduct Agreement.

Age Requirements

  1. Children must be three and a half (3.5) years old by 1st March of the year of admission and toilet trained in order to enter Mukabbir Pre-School.
  2. Children must be in the age between four and half (4.5) to five (5.0) years by 1st March of the year of admission to get placement in Early Year II.
  3. Children must be of age ranging between five and half (5) to six (6.0) years by 1st March of the year of admission to enter kindergarten (Early Year III).
  4. Children intended to seek admission to class 1 to 5 must be of age as under:

Aptitude Test

Guidelines for the admission aptitude test are as follows:

EARLY YEAR PROGRAM

Early years 1:
  • Confidence of child
  • Level of spoken
  • Motor skills (how child sits, walks and talks).

Early years 2:

  • English: Capital alphabet writing
  • Mathematics: Counting, 1 to 10 writing
  • اردو: ارد گرد کی اشیاء کی پہچان
  • Arts: coloring

Early years 3:

  • English:  Alphabet writing (capital & small letters), recognition of random things or
    animals etc. three letter words dictation, coloring
  • Mathematics:  Counting 1-30 (written), names of shapes with recognition, counting in
    words(one-five), what comes before, between, and after, initial one-digit addition and
    subtraction
  • General knowledgeOral question about self, family, hobbies, names of days animals,
    fruits, vegetables, and colours recognition 

Note: Basically, this test will be taken to check the aptitude of the child at the time of admission so that
the child’s abilities can be developed by working on their weak points in the future.

PRIMARY YEAR PROGRAM

Grade 1:

  • English: Singular and plurals, name of weekdays, fruits, vegetables, human body parts, parts of
    plants and colors (in written), identification of noun/verb.
  • Mathematics:  Counting the numbers, what comes before, between, and after, the initial addition
    and subtraction of 2 -digits, names of shapes
  • Urdu: جوڑ توڑ ، سبزیوں اور پھلوں کے نام،  ہفتے کے دنوں کے نام،  مہینوں کے نام، رنگوں کے نام،  جسمانی اعضاء کے نام 
    زبانی نظمیں ، پہلا اور دوسرا  کلمه، سونے سے پہلے کی دعا بیت الخلاء جانے اور نکلنے کی دعا

Grade 2:

  • English:  Reading, creative writing, making sentences, Concept clarity (word opposites, Singular
    Plural, masculine Feminine), noun/verb/pronoun/adjective (identification).
  • Mathematics: 2-digit addition and subtraction, 1-digit division, count the things and numbers
  • Urdu: پڑھائی ، اسم کی پہچان ، الفاظ سے جملے بنانے کی صلاحیت ، واحد جمع کی پہچان ، مذکر مؤنث کی پہچان 
    تخلیقی لکھائی، الفاظ متضاد کی پہچان، مکمل نماز

Grade 3:

  • English:  Reading, comprehension, making sentences, names of month, fruit & vegetables, sea
    and land animals, word opposite, word sentences, form of verbs.
  • Mathematics: 3-digit addition and subtraction, world problems, word counting, percentage, time
  • Urdu: پڑھائی ، تخلیقی لکھائی، الفاظ جملے، واحد جمع ، الفاظ متضاد، مذکر مؤنث،  ۳ کلم، مکمل نماز

Grade 4:

  • English: Reading, comprehension, noun/verb/pronoun/adjective (identification( , word
    sentences, word meaning.
  • Science: Translucent, transparent and opaque materials, name of planets, oceans and
    continents, living things. 
  • Mathematics: Numbers in words, words counting in numbers, smallest and greatest numbers, 3-
    digit multiplication and division, fraction, tables.
  • Urdu: پڑھائی، تخلیقی لکھائی ، مختصر مضمون ، الفاظ جملے، مرکب جملے اسم، معرفه و نکره دعائے قنوت، ناظرہ قرآن

Grade 5:

  • English: Reading, word sentences/meaning, present indefinite tense, basic grammar, short essay,
    suffix and prefix, Letter, Application.
  • Science: Types of material, transparent, opaque and translucent, part of flower, living things,
    food chain, types of animals. 
  • Mathematics: 5-digit multiplication and division, fraction, decimal, percentage, word problem.
  • Urdu: املاء ، پڑھائی، تخلیقی لکھائی،  بنیادی گرامر ،مضمون  درخواست نویسی، خط نویسی، ناظره ،قرآن، دعائے قنوت

Note: Students should be properly equipped with pencil, eraser, sharpener and clip board. The paper will be of general nature designed to test
the aptitude of the child in the basic subjects. Duration for each paper will be approximately one hour and the students with at least 50% marks
will be considered pass. Admission will be on merit base & availability of seats.

JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL

Grade 6:

  • English: Dictation, common contraction, reading, essay or paragraph, letter writing, word
    opposite, word sentences, tenses, adjectives, noun and verb, suffix and prefix.
  • Science: Solubility, light, solar system, energy and its forms, solutions and suspensions,
    photosynthesis and respiration in plants, compound & element. 
  • Mathematics: Factorization, prime numbers, decimal, fraction, geometry.
  • Urdu: املاء،  پڑھائی، بنیادی گرامر، مضمون، درخواست نویسی، خط نویسی، ناظره ، قرآن، دعائے قنوت، ارکان اسلام 

Grade 7:

  • English: Dictation, reading, essay or paragraph writing, word opposites, word synonyms, prefixes
    and suffix, word sentences.

  • Science: Energy, microscope, cell, tissues and organs, sense and sense organs, solar system,
    living things, diagrams.
  • Mathematics: Words in numbers, number in words, percentage, decimal, fraction, pie,

  • Urdu: املاء،  پڑھائی، بنیادی گرامر، مضمون، درخواست نویسی، خط نویسی، ناظره ، قرآن، دعائے قنوت، ارکان اسلام 

Aptitude Test

Guidelines for the admission aptitude test are as follows:

Pre-School:

Generally, the following parameters will be taken into consideration for the assessment of Pre-School candidates:

  • Reading level of child
  • Vocabulary
  • Concepts of colors and numbers
  • Confidence of child
  • Level of spoken
  • Motor skills (how child sits, walks and talks).
Class One Onwards:
Applicants for class one onwards will be tested for four main subjects:
  • English
  • Urdu
  • Mathematics
  • Science (Class two onwards)

Students should be properly equipped with pencil, eraser, sharpener and clip board. The paper will be of general nature designed to test the aptitude of the child in the basic subjects. Duration for each paper will be approximately one hour and the students with at least 50% marks will be considered pass. Admission will be on merit base & availability of seats.
